GoGet: Manage Scattered Data By Copying Format-Specific Files

As time goes by, our photos, songs, movies, documents and other data gets cluttered up, and scattered in our computer. Resultantly, it often happens that when we are looking for a particular file, we can’t find it, because we don’t know its exact location. Well, now you don’t need to remember where each file is placed in your computer because of a very helpful tool called GoGet. It is an application that lets you manage the content in your hard disk by allowing you to copy specified type of files in a folder containing files of multiple formats, to another location of your choice. It doesn’t report where the files are placed; it copies them to a user-specified location. Learn more about GoGet after the break.
Its interface is as simple as it can get. Each field is properly labeled, such as What are you looking for? to define the type of files you want to copy, Where do you want to look? to specify the folder that contains the files, and Where do you want them copied to? to select the new folder where the files will be copied. Once everything is entered, click GoGet button available at the bottom.

The application will first calculate the number of files associated with the specified format, and then copy all the files into the new folder.

You can also add Templates in the application to perform redundant tasks, such as just copying out the songs from your downloads folder where everything is downloaded. Select File from the top and choose Search Template. Then, click Add to access the Add Template window. Enter the Template Name, What to search for, Search this folder, Copy to this folder and select Save to save the template.

Orange: Bomb Anyone With Multiple SMS Using Your iPhone (Cydia)

SMS bombing implies sending a text message multiple times to the same person. There is a prankster in all of us, and if you really want to bug someone, SMS bombing is a pretty slick idea. I am sure people can come up with some positive excuse for SMS bombing, but mainly, people use it just as an annoyance tool. Surprisingly, there aren’t a lot of SMS bombers available for iOS. However, now, if you have a jailbroken iPhone, you can use SMSBomber (Orange), which is a free Cydia tweak allowing users to send as many as 20 copies of the same text with a single tap.

As you can probably tell from the screenshot above, Orange needs SBSettings to run properly. So, the first step for using this tweak must be the setting up of SBSettings. After you have done that, add the following repo to your Cydia store’s sources:

In this newly added repo, you will find SMSBomber (Orange). The tweak is free, and after its installation, will not add any Springboard or Settings menu icons to your device. To change its settings, you will have to launch SBSettings. You will notice that a new icon has been added to the shortcuts list by the name of Orange. Launch Orange, and choose the number of times you want to send your message. After that, go to the native Messages app, and type your message. Once you send that text, it will be received as many times as you set in the options.
The tweak is free, and compatible with devices running iOS 4 and above.

refDot: Automatically Generate References For Books On Amazon [Chrome]

Referencing books and other sources in proper format can be one of the most difficult tasks when writing a research paper. reftDot is a Chrome extension that makes citation an easy task for researchers and students by allowing them to automatically generate references for books on Amazon. The extension can also be used on websites, journals and news articles. All your references are stored in a list, which can then be edited, arranged in an alphabetical, exported and more.
Once you’ve installed the extension, a black, Click Here To Reference bar is added to the top of the page on Amazon, and a button is added to the toolbar. Click the button to manually add details for creating references, or simply click on the bar to automatically generate references. Once the reference is created, the bar color changes to green and your book is Referenced.

Clicking on the button in the toolbar opens a pop-up with details such as Author, Title, Year, Place, Publisher, Edition and Pages. Manually type the details, or quickly copy-paste them from the webpage. Hit the Add button and your references will be added to the list.

To view the entire list of references, click View List button in the pop-up. The references are then opened in a new tab. These references come with a number of options. You can reorder them alphabetically, or export, edit, and delete them.

Ethervane Echo Automatically Sorts Your Clipboard Entries Into Tabs

Previously, we have covered a lot of clipboard managers, such as ClipX, Ace Clipboard and Free Clipboard Manager, all with their unique functionalities like managing clipboard entries through hotkeys and saving clipboard items & screenshots. Ethervane Echo is a portable clipboard manager that keeps track of your clipboard history without interfering with the default Windows clipboard. Unlike other clipboard managers, it automatically sorts the clipboard entries into different tabs, such as Default, Sticky, Used, Last hour, URLs etc., allowing you to quickly access the required clipboard entries. It allows you to select and mark the important clipboard entries as Sticky, edit entries both inside the manager and in an external text editor, and search for a particular entry using the built-in search function.
Once extracted and executed, the application will quietly run in your system tray and can be accessed by simply clicking its icon. Right-clicking it allows you to Restore the application main window, Clear the Clipboard, toggle Connect to Clipboard and Exit the application.

The main interface of Ethervane Echo is pretty neat and easy to navigate around. There are Echo, Edit, Navigate, New and Tools menus available at the top, while Default, Sticky, Used, Last Hour, Short, URLs, Browsers and All Clips tabs appear below the clipboard entries. A search bar is available at the bottom, allowing you to quickly search for the required entry. Information about the number of clipboard entries can be viewed in the lower-most bar.

Each tab at the bottom shows different kinds of clipboard entries. In my experience, Default and ALL CLIPS showed all the entries, Sticky showed only the entries marked as Sticky, Used showed the entries which were pasted somewhere, Last Hour showed entries copied in the last one hour, Short showed nothing, URLs showed only the copied website links, and Browsers showed items copied from browsers.

Right-clicking on any entry allows you to access options, such as Paste (All Formats), Paste (Text Only), Copy, Edit (Inplace), Edit (External), Sticky, Delete, etc.

Ethervane Echo has a limitation, in that it only captures text, and no screenshots or other data would be captured by the application. It works on all 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows.

Web Scroll Capture For iPhone: Take Full-Length Webpage Screenshots

There are quiet a few people out there whose line of work involves capturing screenshots of webpages (graphic designers, for instance). Now, there may be a lot of extensions for desktop browsers that let you capture the entire length of a webpage but the same functionality is rare for mobile platforms, which is what makes Web Scroll Capture an excellent addition to the iTunes App Store. The app lets you take screenshots of whole webpages, from top to bottom, while browsing on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

The procedure is simple. Just launch the app, tap URL to go to the webpage you want to Capture. By default, the app does not capture the entire length of a page, just the part visible at the time you tap the Capture button. You will have to tap More to enable the Scroll option to capture whole pages. Also, the browser of the app tends to crash at times, and does not support the pinch-to-zoom functionality. Captured images can be saved to Camera Roll (Photos) or sent as an Email to a friend.

The legibility of text within a captured screenshot depends on the length of the webpage. The lengthier the webpage, the more illegible will the text be. Still, it is better than having to capture multiple screenshots for a single webpage.

Xbox 360 Transformer Pack Makes Windows 7 Look Like Xbox 360

We have previously brought you a number of Windows 7 transformation packs, including he Android , Mango, iOS, Windows 8, Mac OS X, and the Ubuntu Skin Pack. Recently, we came across another elegant skin pack, known as Xbox 360 Transformer Pack. Unlike the previously-reviewed transformation packs, this skin pack has been developed by a different developer, “the-dhruv-8”. However, just like our previously reviewed skin packs, you can install this one by simply launching an executable file, and following the simple setup wizard. In other words, you do not need to go through any manual theme patching methods.

Note: Please bear in mind that such transformation packs are difficult to uninstall and a system restore point will not revert the changes. Before installing the Xbox 360 Transformer Pack, make sure that you backup your computer to revert the changes (if required). Moreover, make sure that UAC (User Account Control) is disabled.
To get started, launch the EXE file, accept the terms and conditions and click Next.

It is worth mentioning here that this skin pack is ad-supported, as it attempts to change your default home page and search engine. You can avoid this by unchecking the respective options during the installation process.

When installing this transformation pack, you will be presented with the option to install the UXTheme Patch, DLL files and other extra items (e.g., wallpaper, visual styles etc). Click Install to begin the installation process.

First off, you must provide a valid Steam ID to the app. In this regard, you can feed in an ID of any Steam user to view their profiles. Once past that, you are taken to the app’s homescreen that packs various tabs that we shall explore below.
The Specials! tab fetches all the hot game deals from the store, and presents them in a list that can be filtered by name, metascore, price and discount rate. Selecting a game from the list displays a box containing brief information about it, and the Steam Store option that lets you purchase it from the Steam website. To switch to another tab, simply swipe left/right across the screen.

Freemake Music Box: Listen To Online Music & Watch YouTube Videos

Freemake Music Box is a music player that lets you search for free online music, and listen to millions of songs. It allows you to find, listen to and organize your favorite music, and automatically plays videos from YouTube. You can search the music by artist name, album name or the exact song name, depending on your choice. CashBook: Password Protected Personal Expense Manager For Mac

CashBook is a free Mac app that helps you manage your daily expenses; it isn’t one of those super apps that will tell which stocks to invest in, and when it is a good time to invest in a house or buy a new car. The app is simply a good way to manage finances if you aren’t very good at keeping track of money, and don’t want anything overly complicated. The app lets you manage money in different accounts, letting you add as many accounts and expense heads as you like, and simply putting down expenditures and deposits as they happen under one of the available categories.
The app is divided into two panels, with the top panel always showing a graphical representation and a table format of the expenses you’ve entered. The lower panel is where you add or edit the items from.

The best way to get started, is to first check if the pre-defined categories will satisfy you, or if you need to add new ones. You can add new ones any time, but for smoother operation, check before you start. Click the cog wheel next to the search bar, and in the window that opens, add accounts and categories.

The app works on a simple principle, if you add an amount, it will be added to the total balance of the account you add it to. Pre-entered accounts are Bank and Cash. If you precede an amount with a minus sign, it will be treated as a deduction; otherwise, it will be added to the total of the account. To add an amount or deduct an expense, choose an account from the lower panel, pick a category, enter an amount and hit return.

The entry will appear in the panel above, under the account head you entered it in. You can select an entry and edit it from the top panel, and add comments to it. If you want to keep your finances super secret, you can lock a CashBook with a password. To set a password, go to File > Change Password. The slightly annoying part of the app? When you close it, you will be subject to a 2 second window displaying FileMaker promo.

How To Create Customizable Multiboot System Rescue Disk

System Rescue bootable disks are built to help users easily troubleshoot those PC problems, which are generally quite difficult to fix such as corrupt boot sector, malware infected system files, physical & logical hard disk bad sectors, disk write failures and so on. In our previous guide on completely wiping the hard disk, we recommended using DBAN (Darik’s Boot And Nuke) Boot CD to shred the auxiliary and removable hard drives. Like any other boot disk, DBAN runs in a complete isolated environment to perform the disk wipe operation. Tools like DBAN, eScan Rescue, MSSS, Hiren’s Boot CD etc., require burning the ISO file on a separate disk for creating a bootable disk to fix PC issues, but what if you want to create a customizable bootable USB or CD/DVD disk to use all your favorite system diagnostic utilities without having to change the bootable disks on system startup?
SARDU (Shardana Antivirus Rescue Disk Utility) is a tiny, yet powerful application for creating customizable bootable CD/USB. While it comes packed with all widely used system diagnostic tools including Ubuntu Live CD, BitDefender Rescue, Panda Safe, Ubuntu MRT, GParted etc., It lets you create a highly interactive boot menu to easily navigate between specified (installed) tools. It’s basically a multiboot USB and CD/DVD builder for Windows that allows user to either download the system rescue disks, or specify the already downloaded disks (in ISO format) for creating an all-in-one system rescue disk.
It includes a host of third-party antivirus utilities including AOSS PcTools, AVG Rescue, Avira AntiVir Rescue, Dr.Web Live, Kaspersky Rescue etc. to perform low-level virus scanning over entire hard disk. Moreover, you have the option to add multiple third-party rescue disks and system diagnostic tools such as Clonezilla, GParted, NT Password, Ophcrack, Ultimate Boot CD, Trinity Rescue Disk, Parted Magic, Ping, Redo Backup Live CD etc,  from Utilities section. Some Linux and Windows related tools and Live CDs are also provided (Austrumi, BackTrack, Damn Small Linux, Ubuntu Live, Kubuntu Live, Mint, Puppy Linux, Slax, xPUD, LiveXP, WindowsPE, VistaPE, Win7PE etc) to apply fixes over corrupt OS installation.
To get started, just pick the Antivirus tools, utilities, Windows and Linux tools from respective sections to burn them on the disk. If you don’t have the required ISO or bootable files of selected tools, you can download them from within the application; it comes with multi-downloader that can automatically fetch the ISO images of specified tools, and then download them in bulk. However, if you want to manually include the ISO image file of a utility or OS Live disk, place the ISO images to SARDU_2.0.4.3\ISO folder, then refresh the ISO images using Refresh ISO button on toolbar.

All aforementioned tools are grouped under tabs. From Antivirus tab, you can include bootable antivirus suites to your disk, while in Utility tab, you will find a wide range of system maintenance & diagnostics utilities including GParted, Ophcrack, Partition Wizard, OpenDiagnostics and more.

The Linux and Windows tabs let you include Linux based OS Live CDs (in ISO format), and Windows Live CD, Rescue disks to your media disk (CD/DVD or USB). Apart from Windows Recovery Disks, it also lets you add Windows Installer for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. If you don’t have Windows Installer (ISO image), you need to buy the Installer’s ISO image to add to your media disk.
Linux - Windows
Selecting a tool listed under tabs will send it to download queue, where you have to manually start the download process. Under Downloader tab, click Start to begin downloading specified tools and rescue disks. Once done, plug-in your disk (USB or CD/DVD), and click respective button present in right sidebar to start the disk or CD burn process.

When bootable CD/DVD or USB drive is created, you need to change the system boot priority from BIOS menu. To do so, reboot the system into BIOS menu by pressing F2, F10, Del, or other system defined key. Move to Boot Options menu and set your external USB or CD/DVD ROM as first boot option. Once done, save changes made to BIOS, and reboot your system. It will take you to SARDU boot menu, showing all the specified tools, Live media disks, and other system rescue options.

SARDU boot menu includes some basic system diagnostic tools including SuperGrub2, HDT (Hardware Detection Tool), TestDisk & PhotoRec (for data recovery), and Lilopwd (for password recovery), PLop Boot Manager and FreeDOS. You can use SuperGrub to deal with OS boot problems and detect installed operating systems, while TestDisk and PhotoRec will let you perform low-level data recovery operations over entire hard disk. However, if you just need to recover your lost password, Lilopwd may help; it’s a small application to recover forgotten Linux based OS and Windows account passwords.

The Antivirus menu shows all the pre-selected bootable antivirus suites. Here, you can boot your system from, let’s say, AVG, Avira, and scan the hard disk for viruses and malwares.

The Utility menu lets you run system repair utilities that you selected while creating your SARDU bootable disk. It must be noted that these utilities don’t run under SARDU environment, when you select the utility, SARDU will just take you to specified Utility boot menu.

The Linux and Windows menus allow you to boot selected OS. Just select the Live OS that you want to boot system from, and it will take you to selected OS boot menu.

If you use multiple boot CDs to identify and fix system issues, SARDU will help you run all type of system diagnostic programs from a single disk, saving you from the hassle of switching between the system rescue disks. SARDU supports both client and server editions of Windows.
